Reem holds a BSc in pharmacy and a master’s degree in science and healthcare administration, rare assets on strategic marketing teams. After years at J. Walter Thompson and Source Marketing, with significant experience in all areas of advertising and branding in the healthcare and consumer industries, Reem joined Adams & Knight to head up our Strategic Services. She’s bright and energetic, and works as hard for you as she does for us.

Her recent work includes strategic branding for Hartford HealthCare, the most comprehensive health network in Connecticut as well as building brand culture for UMass Memorial Health Care, the largest health care system in central Massachusetts.

Client Experience

Of which business achievements are you most proud?

One of the things I’m most proud of is being the first woman to work at J. Walter Thompson in Saudi Arabia. Within this all-male environment, I successfully built a healthcare and pharma business unit (including marketing and launching VIAGRA), which opened the door for hiring more women.

What awards/recognition do you value most?

I worked hard to balance working and getting my master’s degree in healthcare administration, which I completed with a 4.0 GPA.

What do you find most fulfilling about your work?

I have a real passion for what I do. I will sometimes wake up in the middle of the night to write down an idea I have for one of my clients. Patient education is something that I feel very strongly about and continuously strive to incorporate into a lot of my work.

What traits help you succeed?

I try to live my life with my own version of the four Ps: passion, persistence, precision and “being personable.”

How have your roots contributed to who you are today?

My family is originally from Egypt; I was born in Dubai and grew up in the USA (New York, Connecticut, Virginia) and Saudi Arabia. At a very young age, I was exposed to many different cultures, languages and types of people, which helped me learn how to easily adapt to any situation.

What is your idea of happiness?

There is nothing like hearing my daughter laugh. I am happy when the people I love most and care for are happy.

Any special interests?

I am committed to working for the end of breast cancer and currently serve as the marketing chair for Susan G. Komen Connecticut.

Who would you invite to your fantasy dinner table?

At the table, I’d love to have the Prophet Mohamed, Jesus, Moses, my dad, Oprah Winfrey and my husband (since he always wanted to meet Oprah).

Your favorite motto, quote, saying?

“You can tell whether a man is clever by his answers. You can tell whether a man is wise by his questions.”  — Naguib Mahfouz, Egyptian novelist and screenplay writer, 1988 Nobel Prize for Literature
