The Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation had an ambitious goal: Raise one billion dollars to revolutionize healthcare—from how it’s delivered to patients, to transforming medical education and research. They asked us to help them make their case to potential donors.
The launch video for the Gala Event showcased powerful patient stories and a reason to give.
Idea
We knew it was critical to show how every donation makes a real impact, so we created the Be The Difference campaign, using the emotional stories of real people whose lives were changed by Hackensack Meridian Health and its foundation. The campaign included a detailed case statement, as well as documentary videos that brought viewers into the lives of patients.

Impact
Our Be the Difference campaign premiered at the HMH Gala at Lincoln Center, with the participation of Eli Manning, Peter Cancro, Jon Stewart, Danny DeVito, Tracy Morgan and Hackensack Meridian Health CEO Bob Garrett. The first phase has already secured more than 60% of the $1 billion goal, and Phase 2 will continue to show the public how they can have a positive impact on the future of healthcare.

The gala raised 750 million dollars toward a 1 billion dollar goal.
